I started playing the trumpet when living in Toronto in 1994 out of boredom. Constant nightlife was too expensive and I needed something new to fill a void, so I rented a student model Yamaha trumpet. I took a few lessons when I moved back to Edmonton but it was never my intention to become Chet Baker or Miles Davis. My sole purpose for the trumpet was free improvisation and extended techniques - or to explore. I hope you enjoy these tracks that were recorded over a 25 year span.
